Doug Barclay grew up helping his dad with the family business: rebuilding farm equipment and trucks. This upbringing provided Doug with a strong work ethic, the ability to solve problems, and a passion for helping small businesses succeed. He received his Master of Accountancy from Idaho State University, and a B.S. in Accounting from BYU-Idaho with an emphasis in information systems. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Utah and Idaho, as well as a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Doug spent several years in D.C., providing a wide range of services to clients, and he has given presentations on QuickBooks and other accounting principles across the globe.
Doug specializes in tax preparation and comprehensive strategy, IRS correspondence assistance, and outsourced accounting services such as creation of financial statements, processing payroll, and bookkeeping. Doug is fluent in Spanish.
Meet Spencer
Account Manager
Spencer Hall comes to Barclay CPA with five years of experience in the financial industry. Spencer is studying business at BYU-Idaho, and he won first place in the Utah State John Huntsman Sales Competition. Spencer has a passion for entrepreneurial ventures, and he was the youngest student to be elected as the CEO of a company in BYU-Idaho’s Integrated Business Core.
Spencer loves coordinating with clients and identifying solutions to meet their needs. Spencer is fluent in Spanish.
Meet mckinley

McKinley Sorhus grew up assisting with her dad’s dental practice and has worked in other medical practices. As a result, she understands how important it is for dental or medical practices to employ sound accounting practices in order to succeed. McKinley was awarded the prestigious Thomas E. Ricks Grant for academic achievement.
McKinley is conversant in Chinese.
